Many Raptors over the weekend. Friday saw 22 Bald Eagles (NO Golden), 64
Red-Tail of every description except Krider's, 24 N. Harriers (including
several Females), 30 Kestrel, One Rough-Legged Hawk, 3 Coopers and had a
Barred and Great Horned Owl calling at night. Had FOY Brewer's BB, Rusty BB,

About 10 male Hooded Mergansers competing for two females at the south
end of Zachary Lane (dirt road) off the boat dock on the west side of

flying 8000 miles non-stop, other shorebird tracking results plus some tidbits

As spring migration ramps up and posts to birding list serves significantly
increase, I want to thank everyone for remembering to include enough

Went driving around stearns county this morning,mainly
holdingford,avon,albany,freepot.Saw a total of 38 hawks 21 northern harrier,10
redtail,6 kesteral,1 red shouldered.very good day.Also 4 eagles,2 sandhill
cranes,pied bill grebe,tundra swans,bluebirds,shovelers,and a otter!!

the St. John's University Arboretum and other areas close to St. John's. In the
wetlands area soon after you enter SJU on Cty. Rd. 159 off freeway 94 there was

Most of the Red Rock eagles were gone this morning. I counted about 15 -
almost all immatures in groups of 3 - 4. It's interesting that the last of the
ice
also disappeared last night. Meanwhile, new birds have arrived. Yesterday
evening, I saw two egrets, a pelican and a nice variety of ducks,
A brief siting of immature golden-crowned sparrow (duluth version) at about 9
a.m. today. The bird was ground-feeding with a junco and song sparrow.
