I stopped by on my way to work and quickly found the Sage Thrasher. It wsa
feeding in the leaf litter by the canoe racks. Jim Williams showed up as I was
leaving and I showed him where it was hanging out. He was photographing the
bird when I left.

I saw the Sage Thrasher again in the same area on my way to work around 2:45pm.
This time I did not forget my camera.

After terrific looks at the sage thrasher (lifer), who spent most of
the time going back and forth between a favorite log at the water's
edge and a hackberry tree on the path (see Derek Bakken's photos), I
thought there would be no interesting additions to my year list. So,
exercise and BBA duties
Much better light this afternoon. It was nice to see a number of MOU-NET
members there looking at the bird:

Tonight the sun was still above the horizon when I got home, so I finally
nailed up flashing around one of my trees that hold a wood duck house. I also
pounded in a couple of stakes to straighten one of my free standing houses.
