There was a post earlier about finding out the current location of the snowy
egret at Purgatory Creek. Would some post it or email it to me? I tried
finding
it when it was first spotted earlier this summer and had no luck.

They were there yesterday 14:00 when I was at the viewing platform for a few
minutes.. They were out off the small island in the middle of the large wet
area where all the American White Pelicans and Gulls hang out..

Today around noon Vic had a yellow-crowned night heron in the small pond at his
apartment complex. The address is 10511 Cedar Lake Road. The pond is actually
on the north side of Greenbriar Road a few hundred yards from

I checked out the pond and as of 1:15pm the bird was still there. A
clarification on directions to the pond is as follows: from Cedarlake rd turn
SOUTH on Greenbriar and go approx 1/2 mile and you will find 10511 on your
right. The pond sits right in front of the building and is easily

Derek Bakken just phoned to say that the adult YCNH was still present
at 2:15, but moved into a willow tree at the reported location.

in Minnetonka, Hennepin County, from 3:45 until 4:45pm. First he was up high
in the willow tree, but then at about 3:35 he flew down to the east side of
the pond. He began walking (stalking?) into the cattails as a few

Well the cafe food in town borders on hell but yesterday I saw 8 and
today 6 Snowy Egrets just outside the town of Ashby, Grant County in
full breeding plumage, all adorned with long aigrettes. To see these
birds at very close range get off I-94 at the Ashby exit, go north
about 1.9 miles and
There were 400+ shorebirds of 9 species at Hegg Lake State Wildlife
Area (west end of lake) and Waterfowl Production Area (east end)
yesterday. The lake is located 1 mile NE of Kensington (of runestone
fame) and is best birded from a county road along the north side. The
