We are on the flyway for the majority of the TUSW population that winters on
Chesapeake Bay. For 1000's of years they have staged on the Mississippi R
in November downstream from the metro area. They consistently fail to get a
mention on the weekly RBA

A large group (25 people) searched for the Acorn Woodpecker, at Crow Wing State
Park, and were not successful in re-finding the bird.
Doug Backlund showed me the photographs that he took of the bird. They
