Hey birders, I was unable to relocate the Lesser Black-backed Gull on Crystal Lake in Lake Crystal. I checked that lake plus Lily and Loon and while there were gulls (mostly Herring), there were no Lesser Black-backed Gulls. Those lakes are starting to open up and I did see some new waterfowl

Took a quick swing through the Clearbrook rice paddies on Saturday looking for signs of Spring on the Vernal Equinox. First of Year Robin was waiting for me at the main access road. T & T Swans, several hundred. Plenty of Canada geese. Mallards and lots of Pintail duck. Also saw five B. Eagle

Several people have back-channeled asking for directions to where I had found the owl last night.  It was at the same location reported two times earlier this month by others. Enter Resevoir Woods from Larpenteur.  Go down the path from the east end of the parking lot.  Go to mile marker 0.3.
