This morning at Lake Byllesby in Dakota County I counted 206 shorebirds. They
were skittish and were constantly moving around and Susan Schumacher and I
wished we had a couple of bricks in our pockets it was windy. The lions share
definitely went to the Greater Yellowlegs, Lesser Yellowlegs,

Sorry about the late post...Last Sunday I hiked a number of the inland
trails at William O'Brien State Park just north of Marine-on-St. Croix. Saw
a Swamp Sparrow, Eastern Bluebirds in/near many of the nest boxes, a
Northern Harrier hunting low, and heard then saw a lively flock of about 8

Hello all,
My wife and I went down to Black Dog Preserve, in Dakota County, this
evening to look for woodcocks. We were not disappointed, with birds
calling and displaying all around us. We heard some 10-15 woodcocks and
saw a similar number. One called 20 feet from us and displayed
