This evening a flock of at least a dozen Nighthawks passed over the
neighborhood of Hamline and Wellesley in St. Paul, moving in a
southerly direction, in what appeared to be migration rather than
foraging mode. Since an outdoor project was occupying my attention,
they may have been part of a much
Today on the trail to the Snake Creek River entry point of the BWCA (where
you would launch to get to Bald Eagle Lake), I heard a Boreal Chickadee
about 50-60 rods in. Then, in the spruce bog along the Snake Creek River, I
heard an additional 3 Boreal Chickadees. I heard a likely Three-toed

This afternoon every time I've been outside I've noticed another 50 or more
Common Nighthawks migrating past my house, near Woodland Avenue in Duluth.
With casual observing I'd conservatively guess I've seen close to a thousand

There is a large mudflat just west of Morton where Highway 19 meets Highway 71.
This morning there were 150+ shorebirds present, but I was not able to find
anything unusual. There is a small gravel road at the intersection to use for
parking.

birds I saw, I wouldn't consider any them to really be in a wave. At best,

sends them to me.
Revised directions: The bird was up the t

I was but 5' from it as it sat on the feeder. I took a photo with my cell phone
and will try to move it to
