Unfortunately, I think what we witnessed yesterday morning was a mass exodus of
birds, as I spent time in the count area this morning, and saw very few birds.
A trip to the marsh where they roost at night revealed only about 800 birds as
well. It was only a matter of time...

At Powderhorn Park this morning in south Minneapolis, I found a single
Common Redpoll foraging in the shoreline vegetation on the north side of
the lake with a mixed flock of American Goldfinches, House Finches, and
a couple Song Sparrows. Also present were a couple of Yellow-bellied
Sapsuckers.
The annual CBC for Little Falls in Morrison County is set for December 18th
on a Sunday. We will meet at the Perkins Restaurant at the intersection of
