I was able to find the Snowy Owl reportedly seen in Canal Park both tonight and
last night at about 10:15pm. The owl habitually perches on the top of the
flagpole that Canal Park Drive loops around (near the maritime museum).
Tonight, it also flew from the flagpole to the bridge. It landed at the

After a bit of snowshoeing in Warner Lake Park, a gray bird flew across the
road on my way home (CR143 NE corner of Fuller Lake). Upon turning around,
parking and walking to the small Red Cedar where it landed, it flushed out in
the scrub open into a Siberian Elm. I could not make out an eye r
