While birding in the fog, at Wisconsin Point with Kimberle and Al Loken and
Mark Junghans, this evening. We were able to see several Parasitic Jaegers in
both Wisconsin and Minnesota. The birds were observed from the light house,
near the end of Wisconsin point. A single unidentifie

I had a crow die in my yard this week. This gave me an opportunity to study its
plumage. I noticed primaries 8,7,6, were emarginated (leading edge is wider at
the base than at the tip).
I know that many flycatchers have emarginated primaries but I don’t know about
other species.
