From about 8:00 until noon this morning, a total of 2,070 Dark-eyed Juncos were
counted along the North Shore of L Superior in St Louis Co. These were counted
by tens as they foraged along roadsides on a route starting where Scenic Hwy 61
turns off U S Hwy 61 just beyond the Lester R, and
I had my first Junco under my feeder today here in the Twin Cities.

Nicollet line.

We had three dark-eyed juncos (aka snowbirds) in our yard here in Lauderdale,
Ramsey County, yesterday, 10/12/13. Coincidentally, my wife and I had lunch
that afternoon with a couple Lauderdalians getting ready to flee the north to
spend the winter in Arizona...snowbirds displacing snowbirds.
