Just sighted in passing from the car window this morning along Hwy. 133,
about 4.5 miles in from Route 53. I was headed east, bound for Duluth and
the owl was on the driver side quite close to the road, still a bit west
of the bridge with the concrete abutments.

It's been interesting to read all the "local" sightings of snowy owls these
last weeks. Apparently this winter's influx of the visitors is not a regional
phenomenon; this story aired on tonight's CBS news - lots of snowies visiting

The morning was good to me! About 10am this morning I went to Ramsey, MN
searching for the Snowy Owl for the second time and found it!!
Another birder was already there searching, so I joined in the search.

At around noon today, I made an unplanned trip without scope to the Vermillion
area , and enjoyed seeing an almost pure white Snowy Owl, viewing it on the
north side of 180th St. about 1/4 mi. west of Emery Ave.
I viewed it with help of birder friends, who informed me of the location when I

north of said intersection. Bird flew to the west. Seen by Bethany Watson
