Hey birders,
It has been a difficult winter so far for me as I've scoured the county looking
for Snowies. Today was my fifth attempt to survey promising habitat this
winter and I finally found a subadult male Snowy Owl about 1.5 miles
On our way home from viewing the Hutchinson Snowy Owl today (we couldn't find
the Hawk Owl!) we spotted a Snowy atop a power pole along Highway 7. This
location was seven miles west of the roundabout at Highways 7 and 25 here in
Carver County, timing was around 6 PM. We were very surprised to

Argyle (Marshall Co) and the other north of Sherack (west Polk Co), Gray
Partridges on Marshall Co 19 west of US 75, several flocks of Snow Buntings
