We checked the nesting Black-necked Stilts at the Herman water treatment ponds
today. The heavy rains in that area have brought the water line right up to
the nest. Hopefully the rains will stop and the birds will be successful and
not flooded out. From what we read this species getting flood

This afternoon Laura Coble and I checked Cannon River Wilderness East
(across the river from this Saturday's MOU walk) for the Cerulean Warblers
usually found there. We found neither sight nor sound of the Ceruleans in
this ravine, for the first time in many years. We did, however, find a

County on Tuesday Morning. We found some good birds but almost all of them
