I have counted twice this weekend and not had one swift fly in.
I'd like a little encouragement before I count tonight. Have you seen
many birds when you were counting? Please reply to the MOU thread, not to
me. Others might need a pep talk, too.
Thanks!

All the birds in my SW Minneapolis neighborhood are on young still. Need some
time for them to fledge young, then count.

I counted 66 birds going down the chimney at the school across the street in St
Paul. But they have been roosting there all spring summer for many years.
These are all non-breeding birds unless the breeding pairs are heading to the
Amazon already.
I wouldn’t go back to the same place
Wood Stork just flew in.

I had the 3 pairs in my 3 towers on Friday and 280 at Handke Magnet
Elementary School in Elk River yesterday. Tonight I'm doing St Johns
Catholic Church in Dayton and there's some here.

Elizabeth and I counted 85 CHSW entering a chimney on a former school in St.
Paul Park. Last year on the first counting weekend I think we counted less than
6. On the second count time we had a few over 400, so if you find the chimney
the birds want you will see some to many.
