I've visited the Least Tern location on and off throughout the day and have
not seen them.
Lots of Blue Grosbeaks at Blue Mounds State Park - 3 males and a female in
the vicinity of the Interpretive Center; two males and a Red-headed
Woodpecker near north end of the prairie by the beach area.

Please know before reading further that this message is intended to be
educational, and is specifically NOT intended to be critical or pejorative of

observer/person. My apologies as well for its length.
I was surprised to see earlier today on the
Randy Frederickson and I arrived at 9 am. After a few minutes we were able
to observe 1 Least Tern flying around and picking food off the surface of
the water. After about 10 minutes it flew right over us and headed
southwest and hasn't returned.
