Dear Bird Advocates,
The time has come again for us to join together to show our support for the
birds. Come if you can, this coming Wednesday Oct. 22 at 3:00PM at City
Hall when the St. Paul City Council votes on a resolution calling for
bird-safe, energy-efficient glass for the Vikings stadium.
Yesterday morning I found a nice mixed flock of Geese on the golf course in
Two Harbors. There was one adult and one juvenile Ross's Goose and one hybrid
Ross's X Snow Goose and there were at least two Cackling Geese along with many
intermediate sized Canada Geese and, of course, the larger Can

Because there have been no mou-net reports of the Le Sueur Co Rufous
Hummingbird for 3 weeks, I think it's worth reporting that the bird is still
visiting Mary & Steve Nesgoda's feeders at 30627 Pumpkin Hill Rd just N of Le
Sueur. A Minn Birding Weekends group stopped by to see it yesterday afte
I am trying to improve my birding skill with waterfowl and shorebirds. I have
seen the posts about the Bass Ponds at MV WR, but wonder if there are
opportunities if there are good opportunities closer to home (Golden Valley).
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
