On Saturday, 3/28/15, I drove by the blue heron colony that can be seen
from Interstate 35 while passing through Pine City, Pine County. There was
one heron atop a nest and one flying around the colony.

I was back at the Dam this morning and again this evening. I saw a muskrat in
the pond behind the visitors center then I met a fellow birder We went
looking for the Long tailed duck. We went all the way north past the ravine
and no sign of it was found. We did see two hooded mergansers,
Started the day and loon yodeling ended it!

Connie Jo and I saw two Eurasian Collared-doves in Long Prairie at about 6:30
pm today. They were located on the west side of 4th Street South just north of
2nd Avenue South. One was sitting on an electrical wire above the sidewalk
near the large pine tree next to the blue house. We were
