Anne Marie Plunkett passed away July 18. She was an active Minnesota birder
in the 1980s and 90s, especially in the southeastern corner of the state.
She was also an active member of the MOU.

I was on Gary Swanson’s phenology hike this morning. He has one every Wednesday
morning at the Coon Rapids dam on the Anoka County side at 8 a.m. We saw
Tennessee, Nashville and Chestnut sided warblers as well as red eyed vireos and
several other species. What was most interesting today was
Yesterday afternoon at the Agassiz Valley impoundment southeast of Warren, MN,
there was one Black-bellied Plover on the Marshall County side. It looked like
a lot of shorebirds exited since my last visit; however, there were still a
handful of both yellowlegs, Least and Semipalmated on both si
