This morning around 7:30 am there was a Spruce Grouse at the north end of
the spruce bog on the fire tower trail at Scenic State Park (just over 1/2
mile from the paved road). Spruce Grouse have been seen here somewhat
regularly, particularly in the morning. Ruffed Grouse have been seen near
the
First White-throated Sparrow in my back yard this fall, Hutchinson.

Blue Jays chasing a Sharp Shinned Hawk all over the farm yard this morning. Has
been present for at least three days.

This morning (9/18/15) I found an adult Lesser Black-backed Gull on the large
concrete crib in Lake Superior out from the mouth of the Knife River. It was
visible from the public beach by the Knife River marina.
Sharon Lind saw a Red-headed Woodpecker this morning just west of Two Harbors
at
