I arrived at about 7:10 this morning, and at 7:15 the Nutcracker flew in from across the road into the small stand of trees behind the house. The stand consists of one conifer and several deciduous. The bird chose to perch conspicuously at the top of the leftmost deciduous tree. I left shortly
