I have seen a number of *Palm Warblers* and *Yellow-rumped warblers*
hanging around the yard this week. Yesterday I had a pair of *American
Redstarts* out by one of our garden ponds (we have two). Today I saw what I
believe to have been a *Connecticut Warbler *by the other pond. When I

Morning visit to Lake Byllesby resulted in six shorebird species,
and, with the exception of killdeer, few other birds: pectoral
sandpiper (3) greater yellowlegs (1) stilt sandpiper (1) semi-palm
sandpiper (1) Wilson's snipe (1). No dowitchers. Most vi
