At Riverside Park in St. Paul Park (Washington Co) this morning I went looking
for some
Golden-crowned Kinglet photo-ops. I didn’t find a single GCKI but I saw lots of
Brown Creepers,
Ruby-crowned Kinglets, a few Hermit Thrushes and a surprise pair of Tufted
Titmice.
The park is a small one
Over the last two days I have found an increase in numbers and variety of
migrating species at Big Willow Park in Minnetoka along the Minnehaha Creek.

1 Hermit Thrush

two others join us. The more eyes and ears the better. You

Saw the Am Bittern in northeast lake close to road. Amazing! Also a group of 25
Greater White Fronted Geese flew in at 5:15.

The past few days' walks have shown increasing numbers of Brown Creepers
and Golden-crowned Kinglets. Yesterday, these species, especially the
former, were out in great number along Colischan Road, north of Red Wing on
the bottom lands of the Cannon and Vermillion rivers. They were doing much
