Hundreds of Broad-winged Hawks, singles and small kettles circling to the
northwest for about two hours this afternoon, plus a dozen Ospreys, a few
Sharp-shinned Hawks, and a Peregrine Falcon north of Rochester.

3 PM recent arrival of shore birds to the south shore of Salt Lake in Western
Lac Qui Parle County. 300 + including 5 Willet, 20 + Long- billed Dowitcher, 4
Wilson's Phalarope, 4 Dunlin, 2 Greater Yellow-legs.

Nice mix of shorebirds and ducks at Lake Byllesby today. Best seen from the
county park off County 88 from the beach looking East. Over 70 lesser
Yellowlegs with several Greater Yellowlegs mixed in. Semipalmated plovers,
single Solitary Sandpiper and a couple of Least Sandpipers. The mud flats a

I just noticed my first of the year Rose Breasted Grosbeaks at my feeders here
in Rushford
this morning. Then went back to the window and spotted an Indigo Bunting
feeding below
as well. FOY House Wren spotted on Magelssen bluff park yesterday. Todd
In St. Louis County - Cty. Highway 133 about 2 miles east of Meadowlands,
one great gray owl, pouncing into the ditch just as the car passed.
Just now, noon, along Cty. 991 one meadowlark, 2nd for the season in this
area. Almost certainly it was the eastern.
