I am posting this sighting for Deb Fellows.
Deb Fellows observed a Black-necked Stilt at 11:00 am in a flooded field just
West of the town of Tracy.
>From Tracy go West on Highway 14 and turn Left, South on 300th Avenue. Watch

Just got a call from Deb Fellows that she is looking at the stilt now, 4 mi W
and 1 mi S of Tracy in a flooded field on the E side of 300th Ave. This is in
SE Lyon Co, 1 mi S of the US 14 & CR 9 jct.

My husband and I were startled the other day to see one of our resident
red-shouldered hawks swoop in and take a red-winged blackbird off the
feeder. I've seen them eat snakes etc, but never birds. No doubt the
"sitting duck" blackbird at the feeder was just a good opportunity.
