Anyone who keeps month lists who live up north I found at least 3 on the
onion river snowshoe trail in the heavy spruce portion. This is the trail
next to the Oberg Mountain trail. I checked mou records and I don't see ant

We saw a few horned larks on Saturday in both Dakota County (180th and
Fischer) and Washington County at Neal and 60th. I have not seen any posts
about them yet for 2017, these were the first we have seen. Only about 6 in
total.

I just saw three swans in flight near Cook in St. Louis county. They did not
vocalize. They were flying over the Rice River near where I live. The river
does not have much for open water yet except for small areas associated with
rapids. This is the earliest I have seen them here. There is
I haven't posted for quite a while, nor have I checked the listserv, so this
may be old news. There are currently at least 8 rough legged hawks in close
proximity on Hamden Slough near Callaway. There were six in one mile on County
Road 13 between County Road 106 and 280th. Another was 1/4 mile
