I will be leading a MRVAC field trip to Hok-si-lah and the Frontenac area
in Goodhue County this Saturday. This warbler weekend field trip is free
and open to all, no reservations needed. We will meet at Hok-si-lah, a Lake
City park just north of Lake City on the Mississippi River at 7:30 am.

The White-faced Ibis is still present at the Scott County Marsh WMA as of
7am today (Thursday).
The Marsh is easily found - south of Jordan at the intersection of 250th
Street/Country Road 4 and Aberdeen Avenue. The bird was in the SW corner
of the marsh ducking in and out of the reeds.

Last weekend over 100 birders from around the state searched the lakes,
wetlands, woods and prairies of Lac Qui Parle, Big Stone and Yellow Medicine

Around 10:30 this morning I was driving past the beach area in Thief River
Falls where Jeannie Joppru reported a Glaucous Gull last Saturday. The Glaucous
Gull was standing on the beach with 6 or 8 Franklin's Gulls. A passing Bald
Eagle flushed them all and I saw the Glaucous head off to the sou
