We have three small lakes in drawdown in eastern Kandiyohi County. The
three lakes (Wheeler, Schultz, and Hubbard) are on the east side of
Diamond Lake and feed into Diamond. Pat Wheeler, a descendant of Wheeler
Lake's namesake, told me today that there is a lot of exposed mud and he is
seeing a l
Observed 19 species of warblers this morning at Murphy-Hanrahan Regional Park,
including 1 singing Hooded Warbler and 1 singing Cerulean Warbler both near
sign marker 8 en route to sign marker 9 in the northeast portion of the park.
Other warbler species of interest included 3+ Blue-winged, 3+ G
Today at our yard feeders
13 Pine Siskin at a thistle feeder at the same time
4 female and 5 male Rose-breasted Grosbeak at the same time
3 female and 2 male Baltimore Oriole at the same time

The ACGC ponds in Grove City held a couple goodies this afternoon: 2 Snowy
Egrets and a Caspian Tern. The Egrets were skittish and flew off to the
south, but they could return. I did t even have time to look at the rest of
the birds...

At 12:45pm there were two Snowy Egrets along CR 5 at the Westline WMA just west
of the town of Lucan.
