Two rare appearances in our backyard feeders this afternoon, a female
Summer Tanager and a Red-breasted Nuthatch.

Probably a thousand or more swallows, primarily Barn Swallows, over
Snelling Lake. And many warblers. Easily viewed from boat launch just past
park entrance below Post Road.

I have a report of a Swallow-tailed Kite in Arden Hills, Ramsey County, from a
few minutes ago. GPS 45.044476, -93.162342; near Lake Johanna.

The Eurasian Tree Sparrow found last week by Jim Lind continues at 311 East
First street, Duluth. Viewable from alley behind address. Also the bird has
been seen just east a few houses at a small garden park area at 4th ave east
and 1st st. Reported today by Ben Yokel .

species of warblers, mostly only ones and twos compared to the 40+
Yellow-rumps. Also, Swainson's Thrush, a couple of sapsuckers drumming, 2
to 4 Willow Flycatchers, ID'd by "whit" call, and one of our resident
Barred Owls that f
