While birding tonight with our group we found two sleeping nighthawks (one
close to the center and one down below near the river) and a couple
red-headed woodpeckers (near the center and along the paths).

This is a quite belated report but there was a Western Tanager in Beltrami
County at Larry
Ketelsen's feeder off Trillium Court NE Bemidji whose backyard borders Lake
Bemidji State
Park back on May 8, 2019. I saw Larry's video of the adult male
On Tuesday morning, we had a very quick look at either a Western or a Summer
tanager, as it visited our feeders. We were so startled by it that we both
missed ID points that would rule out 1 or the other, and, despite watching the
feeders for the next couple of hours, we didn't see a repeat
