This past Sunday at the Bass Ponds, (where Ike's creek empties into Long
Meadow Lake), I saw several birds transporting large white feathers, mainly
Tree Swallows, but I also saw a Great Crested Flycatcher with one. I'm
sure they were taking these for use in their nest building / insulating. I

The following species were observed at Roseau River WMA on 5/24/21 and 5/25/21:
--Flock of 5 American avocets (on Pool 1 East)
--a few hundred black terns (on Pools 1E and 3)

A sub-adult male Harlequin was seen this morning on the bay side of Park
Point at both 19th street just north of Hearding Islan
A sub-adult male Harlequin was seen this morning on the bay side of Park Point
at both 19th street just north of Hearding Island and at the 43rd street bus
turn around just north of the recreation area. This is presumably the same
individual which had been seen last week and previously.
