Refuge staff estimates there are 5,478 cranes staging on the refuge right now.  
They are refueling for the final migration flight in a few weeks.

Viewing Opportunities:
-Sunrise/Sunset: County Road 70 parking lot for overhead flight or walk in 
about 3/4 mile from parking lot A6 (on County Road 5) to see them in Durgin 
wetland
-During the day: Recently harvested farm fields north and northwest of the 
refuge boundary
