LOST Falconry Goshawk - Please help
Ben Olander, a falconer, has lost a White Siberian Goshawk falconry bird in the
Eagan area. No bell or transmitter.

The Burroughs Birders hit the trail today with 21 4th & 5th grade members… many
of them new to birding. Tomorrow we hit they trail with another 6 new birders.
Today we spotted 15+ species.
Highlights that all or most got to see
Black-Crowned Night Heron
Hummingbird
Cedar Waxwings
Goldfinch
at 3:15 there were 5+ over S MInneapolis (Lyndale and 50th)… driving so I
couldn’t stop and figure out if there were more.

The Burroughs Birders youth birding club is all a twitter (sorry) about the 4
Broad-winged hawks we saw over the playground.
A bald eagle made an appearance at the same time to end our bird walk in style.

11 members of the Burroughs Birders 4th/5th grade bird club found two large
kettles of Broad-wing Hawks with some Turkey vultures over Lake Harriet in
Hennepin Co.
Many of these young birders (thanks to binoculars provided by the MOU Youth
Mentor Program) also saw….

Considering purchasing my first scope and would appreciate suggestions/advice.
