Was out feeding the birds and noticed a group of three White-crowned
sparrows hanging around some spruce trees. Is it a late for them to be
around here? Thanks.

Went out to Old Cedar this evening, just after the heavy downpour and got
really good looks at a Nelson's Sharp-tailed Sparrow at around 610pm. It
was located on the left-hand side of the viewing platform and then flew
across the water to the other side.

For the past few days, probably due to wind, my yard has had a large
flock of Yellow-rumped and Palm warblers. Is this usual for them to be
list late in migrating?

the sign welcoming you to the refuge. Turn
right and you should be on county road 104. !04 goes east and then turns
north. About 1.5 miles or so you will see the large mudflat on your
left. Continue on a ways and there is an overlook that will be a good
spot to scope for birds.
Happy Birding.

they are located in northwestern corner of the state, so I would
assume this to be unusual for MN. I also went to look for them yesterday
afternoon and noticed there are at least 4 of them if not more. So is
this unusual ?
