Tonight just about 10 minute ago I observed 40 to 50 chimney Swifts swooping
around the chimney stack at st. Gabriel's Hospital. A week ago I saw about 12 .
previously I had counted five :-)
Now they seem to have roosted.

Today driving the back roads from Little Falls to Brainerd, central Minnesota,
I saw a bird about the size of a crow but look a little more like a hawk. It
was very dark, either black or very brown, when it flew there was a distinct
band of white

I was returning from Zax Zim bog area and spotted a snowy male, mature, on hwy
73 and county rd 131. This is 3-4 miles or so north of Kettle River. On that
