I am not certain if this is the way to respond to the posting regarding the unethical photographer but her it goes. As a wildlife photographer, I agree with birder. I am glad that many people 'called' him out for it.
Getting the shot at all cost is NOT worth the risk to the animal. The photographers' actions demonstrates their lack of skill and respect for the wildlife. Their actions also cause friction between birders and photographers. I hope that anyone who witnesses any type of detrimental behavior against wildlife not only stops but reports the incident.
