Last night there were two Bald eagles roosting in the trees at the edge of my lake. This morning I had an Eastern phoebe and a Mourning dove in my yard and a Great Blue Heron flew over the house. I also saw my first Robin of the spring on my way to work. I think spring is here, after all. Susan

The lake upon which I live has both loons and carp. Every year the loons do raise one or two youngsters, so the numerous carp don't seem to have an impact on them. Susan Wiste Alexandria

It is nice to hear that the RNG's on Amelia have raised young. The pair that are in a pond on the w side of Hwy 29 a few miles N of Glenwood have had their nest disintegrate twice because of rising water. They are still there and attempting to build another nest. Susan Wiste near Alexandria
