Hi Thomas:
I am interested in photographing your Barred Owl. I see from a recent
post that you have a sick child. I hope that clears up quickly.
I would like to come by on Saturday sometime if that would work. I would
also like to bring my mother as I think she would enjoy seeing a barred

The Barred Owl is present today in full morning sun. I have a sick 18

may not be possible but shots from the ground have been easy but
limited as the bird sits with little movement for hours. Please call

My friendly neighborhood Barred Owl dropped an owl ball yesterday and
I was eager to check it out. I used to study Great Horned Owls'
roosts at the mouth of a Mexican Freetail Bat colony cave in western
Oklahoma which included a study of their prolific rendering of owl

Today at Rum River Park Central in Anoka County, we saw a Red Shouldered Hawk
carrying a vole as soon as we got out of the car. Later, while walking the
paved trails, we came across a Barred Owl perched in a tree. As we were

I have heard from several people with interest in photographing the
Barred Owl here in Maple Grove. I think the best way to work it,
since it all depends on the availability of the bird, I will post that
the bird is present and explain my personal availability for using my
deck or home. I
Apparently my little basketball sized Barred Owl buddy is becoming a

fully from my deck with full sun in the late morning until noon with
limb shadows popping up in early afternoon on. My camera isn't

Here in my new digs of 6 months now in Maple Grove just on the west
side of West Eagle Lake (south of 694 and a mile east of 494) I sit
looking out my window at the goldfinches when they suddenly all
disappear in a hurry. And then nothing. Nothing. Five minutes creep

A few days ago in the middle of the day, I was startled by the sight of
a barred owl, 15' away at eye level from an upstairs window, sitting on
a branch above my string of bird feeders. This was a couple days after I
skied under the singing great horned owl at French Regional Park. The
owls are fin

This morning on my way to work I had a Barred Owl fly right over as I was
turning to go south on 494 from Hwy 55, it was flying from the south-west
corner of the intersection over the interstate to the north-east side of the
intersection, just on the north side of the West Health building. It wa
I came across a Barred Owl at Carver Park this morning. It seemd to observe
me as I observed it. It was in the forest to the east-northeast of the
nature center on the Maple trail.

far from the path that leads toward the lake there, and was both
I thought I'd share with the group a very interesting observation we
had the other day at our house in Scandia. We often have a barred
owl at our place and lately we've seen it almost daily. Two mornings
ago we noticed it was moving around the edge of the woodland pond,
and was always near th
