I have never seen a great horned owl and would make the drive today.
Can you be more specific as to the location?
Thank you

you know it is really hard to get a good picture at this site, especially with

fledglings look as though they are soon to be leaving home.
The GHO is on it's nest on the Northeast corner of Cedar Ave and Dodd Blvd in
Dakota Cty...

Went to check out the GHO nest near hwy 5 and 694 - there are two babies in the
nest and they must be getting really close to fledging. Got some really nice
views of the little ones.

This must be the year for GHO's. My husband and I spotted one on a nest on
Centerville Road about a mile north of Highway 96 on the west side of the
road across the street from a barn and a Rough Road Sign.

Hey all,
I found another GHO sitting on a nest, this one is in Corcoran..
It was just north of the City Hall on Co.
A Great Horn Owl is on a nest visible from Hwy 55 in Plymouth at mile marker
178. This is between CR101 (south) and CR 9
24. The nest is on the north side of the highway behind a white shack
(abandoned?).
