I was hiking with the dogs in the woods just north of Grand Village
nursing home and observed two Boreal Chickadees in a large mixed flock
of Ruby-crowned Kinglets, Yellow-rumped Warblers, and Black-capped
Chickadees. They were very vocal and active, foraging 15-20 feet away
from me. There are 3 little bogs in that area; it'd be great if they
stuck around!!

Also, a small flock of about twenty Bohemian Waxwings landed in our
oak tree literally long enough to grasp the branches, then they flew
off. At least I can put 'em on the yard list now. Also, a robin is
outside with nesting material- a brave act considering the forecast.
