Hello everyone,
I was enjoying the flurry of activity at the prairie demonstration plot between
SM and ST buildings at Southwest Minnesota State University, when a HARRIS'
SPARROW jumped up for a second before jumping back into the prairie plants.
Having lived in Kansas for 5 years, I am very
Harris' Sparrow, Blue Hill Trail, Sherburne NWR this morning.
Could not refind the WW Crossbills (although Pine Siskins still present);
only three warbler species.

I just came home to find a beautiful Harris' Sparrow at one of the
feeders on my deck. Not sure how unusual this is for December, but it
is definitely the latest i've ever had one in my yard by a significant
amount of time. I'm located just across the crow river in the far NE
corner of
Harris Sparrows arrived yesterday at Spring Lake Park. Also, late
yesterday afternoon, in the center island of the pond at the southwest
corner of 85th and the frontage road just west of University Avenue is a
Yellow Crowned Night Heron perching on a limb overhanging the water.

(we spread seed out) with the Mourning Doves, Goldfinches, Chipping Sparrows,
House Finches, Blackbirds and all. A lot of activity this morning.

On May 23 we had a mini fallout at our feeding station in Bloomington.
