Today, 27 May 2007, Erika and I saw a Lark Sparrow in Goodhue Co. The bird
was along the Cannon River bike trail just as it enters farmland just shy of
the 2 mile post.

Lark Sparrows have returned to Sherburne Refuge (Mahnomen Trail, not Blue
Hill), also Alder Flycatchers and, surprisingly, first personal county
White-throated Sparrows of year.

While my son, Alex, and I were doing a survey on the Louisville swamp
Unit of the MN Valley Wildlife Refuge, I noted a male and female pair of Lark
Sparrows. The birds were seen from the path leading from the SW corner of the
main parking area toward the swamp. This path runs along a
