Active hawk nests, probably Red-tails, that I have noticed in my wanderings:
Coon Rapids: US 10 west of Hanson Blvd on north side. Definitely occupied
by hawk.
Brooklyn Park: Hwy 610 heading west just past Hwy 252 interchange on
northside.

MTN. BLUEBIRD - as reported previously along the N. side of 175th St., but
unaccompanied by waxwings.
GYRFALCON - Along Dakota Cty Rd. 42, 3 telephone poles east of Jacob Ave.

found a Red-tailed Hawk at the top of one of the elevators along Hiawatha in
Minneapolis. It was quite actively looking around. I had stopped hoping it
might be a falcon.

Nighthawks were present over our house in Hastings for much of June. I don't
think that I noticed a decrease in numbers. They are one of my favorite
migrants as well.

Found an interesting hawk this evening in Eagan in Lebanon Hills, visible in
one of the small swamps on the south side of Cliff Road between the Holland
Lake and the entrance to Shultz Lake. I believe it was the swamp by the old
entrance. This beauty was clean white below with only faint banding
