The Gray-crowned Rosy Finches are most likely still around because as many
birders found out when they came to see the finches there are no feeders.
The finches fed on top of the green flower pot, picked at the old sunflower
plants and also on seeds that were tossed on the ground

There is a Northern Hawk Owl in Manly, Iowa. It was on a utility pole at
the intersection of Highways 9 and 65.
Manly is approximately 11 miles north of Mason City.

I saw a Northern Hawk-Owl alongside County Road 7 in Chisago County about
5:30pm this evening (Sat 1/29). A local farmer said that he had also seen
this owl in the same location the previous evening.
The bird was about 1.7 miles west of the point where County Road 7 crosses

One of our co-workers came in this morning with a report of a Northern
Hawk Owl perched on a dead limb of an aspen

Dave Grosshuesch saw a Northern Hawk-Owl on Wednesday along the
Stoney River Forest Road, about 5 miles south of Highway 1.
Apparently the road is still drivable (truck traffic has been keeping
it open this winter), but it is covered with deep washboards.
