Today in Inver Grove Heights along MN 55 in Dakota County Susan and I enjoyed
watching a light morph Swainson's Hawk soar overhead. The two-toned underwing
linings showed a sharp contrast between the dark remiges and the pale coverts.

The Swainson's hawk has
returned to Dakota County. I observed the hawk at about 10:00 am, soaring at
the intersection of US highway 52 and Dakota County 42.

The Swainson's Hawk was kiting over Hwy 55 yesterday evening at 5pm. It was
about 1/2 mile east of the split between Hwy 55 and Hwy 52. Usually I see it a
little further south

One of the Swainson's Hawks is back in the Highway 52 & County Road 42
vicinity. I observed it hunting tonight at 6:45 pm.
