The U.S. House of Representatives has passed legislation (385 to 4)=20
that will make it easier for waterfowl hunters to purchase a Federal=20
Duck Stamp. The Senate passed the bill earlier. It now goes to=20
President Bush to sign into law.
The bill approves a pilot program beginning Sept. 1, 2
Duck stamps go on sale Friday of this week, June 2.
Money from sale of these stamps -- officially the Migratory Bird
Hunting and Conservation Stamp -- is used to buy and maintain land for
national wildlife refuges and to buy or lease waterfowl production
areas.
