There is a Trumpeter Swan on White Water lake in Hoyt Lakes, St.
Louis Co. There are no bands on the neck(legs not seen). It was
observed between 9:00 a.m. and 10:00 a,m, in the back bay.

I stated in my previous post that the Lyndale Motel is on the south side
of Hwy. 21. Forest Strnad corrected me stating
I saw a Swan sp. flying quite low, heading south, over Highway 394 in
Golden Valley, between Highway 100 and Penn this morning at about 2
o'clock this afternoon. Anyone else see this bird around, perhaps on
a city lake?

I guess it has to be less than 20KB. smallest I could make it was 110
and then a little hard to see detail. I think it's pretty good and if

It looks like the draining of Swan Lake to take out the carp is finally
starting to produce some mud flats. We found a flock of about 100
shorebirds (all peeps with most being white-rumps) at the public access dam
area on the south side. At the nearby handicapped hunter access all the

There's been a lone swan (trumpeter) hanging out for at least 2 weeks
in the SE cloverleaf pond at the intersection of I-94 and I-694. It
seems healthy, feeding often as I drive by. There is no place to stop
to view the bird, just slowing down a bit is the best you can do.
Since the pond is
little I bet! I could not believe what I was
seeing? I thought I need more sleep or more coffee!

Dahlen this morning to check out the shorebird
activity on Swan Lake in Nicollet County. Tom
indicated that the shorebirding was excellent before
the rains. Most of the mudflats were inundated at
this point. There were still so

plus tens of thousands of ducks and geese. Best viewed
from Hwy 26 south of LaCrescent, MN.
