There is not much to report here beyond a few new spring arrivals. On April 5th, Phil Chu found a male SURF SCOTER at the Albany sewage ponds in Stearns County. Karen Block reported a MUTE SWAN on Moore Lake in Fridley, southwestern Anoka County, on April 2nd. On the morning of April 7th, Connie Brunell reported the following shorebirds at Lake Byllesby in Dakota County: Four AMERICAN GOLDEN-PLOVERS, 21 PECTORAL SANDPIPERS, 3 LESSER YELLOWLEGS, 1 GREATER YELLOWLEGS, and 1 LEAST SANDPIPER. Chad Heins reported many of these same species at the Cobb River W.P.A. in Blue Earth County on April 7th. MARBLED GODWITS were in Clearwater County on April 2nd. There are also new reports of GREAT EGRET, PURPLE MARTIN, NORTHERN ROUGH-WINGED SWALLOW, BLACK-AND-WHITE WARBLER, CHIPPING SPARROW, VESPER SPARROW, and LINCOLN'S SPARROW.
