Hello MOU members and MOU-net subscribers,

Pre-registration for the 2019 MOU Paper Session is now available! The event
is being held on Saturday, December 7, at the North Star Ballroom of the
St. Paul Student Center on the University of Minnesota campus (2017 Buford
Avenue, St. Paul). Parking is available in the Gortner Ramp parking lot
just east of the Student Center.

*Ian Davies, eBird Project Coordinator*, will give the keynote presentation
on the use of eBird for citizen science initiatives and introduce us to
some cool new stuff that eBird has been working on. You'll also have the
chance to meet *Dr. Sushma Reddy*, the new *Breckenridge Chair of
Ornithology* at the University of Minnesota and *Curator of Birds* at the
Bell Museum, as she presents on the value of natural history collections in
the 21st century.

Pre-registration for the Paper Session ($10 donation cost) is entirely
online on the MOU website:

https://moumn.org/avian/paper.php

It’s the same form as in previous years, and all you need to do is type in
your name(s) and information and check the appropriate boxes (and type in
any additional donations or memberships if you are so inclined). Lunch
options are available from Colossal Café. When you are happy with your
choices, click the "Review Registration" button towards the bottom right
and this will take you to the payment page. Click on your preferred payment
option; a PayPal account is not required. You can ignore the “ship to this
address” box in the payment window. When finished, click the "Continue"
button.

The full program schedule is also available online and can be accessed from
the registration page. Also notice the map and directions to the event
links at the top of the page.

*If you do not wish to pre-register online, you can still register at the
door on the morning of the event for $11. Note, however, that catered lunch
is not available to those who do not pre-register.*

Thanks and see you at the Paper Session!

Bob Dunlap, MOU President
