Headed up towards the Pagami Creek fire burn to check it out one year later...But barely made it there as the birding was so good along the way! Lake County—Superior National Forest Stoney River Forest Road BOREAL CHICKADEES—at several spots between CR11/15 and Whyte Rd intersection NORTHERN GOSHAWK—fly over Whyte Road AMERICAN THREE-TOED WOODPECKER—Adult female feeding juvenile male (Photo on MOU website Recently Seen) Along Whyte Rd about 3.6 miles west of intersection with Snake Trail/Cloquet Lk Rd, on south side in wet opening. SPRUCE GROUSE—female about a mile east of Stoney River Forest Rd. BOREAL CHICKADEES—at several spots GREAT GRAY OWL—Hunting at 10am about 2.1 miles west of intersection with Snake Trail/Cloquet Lk Rd Snake Trail SPRUCE GROUSE family—Female with at least 2 tiny chick, maybe 3....Will post photo to MOU tomorrow. About 1 mile west of intersection with MN Hwy1 east of Isabella YELLOW-BELLIED FLYCATCHERS at several stops along all three of these roads.
